"Oaths Fulfilled" is the fifty-fifth scene featured in the extended edition of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
Synopsis[]
After the battle is over, Pippin and Gandalf enter on to the battlefield over to Legolas, Gimli, and Aragorn. After fulfilling their oath, the King of the Dead and his armies demand that Aragorn release them from their living dead nightmare. However, Gimli has changed his mind about the Armies of hte Dead and tells Aragorn that they will be very handy lads, despite the fact they are dead. However, the King reasons that Aragorn promised that he would release them if they helped them fight in the battle of Pelennor Fields. The soon-to-be king releases them from their oaths and acknowledges Gandalf.
